Xait Launches XaitAI to Improve Bid Decisions and Writing Productivity

Xait, a leading provider of co-authoring and automation software for proposals, quotes, pricing and documents, today announced the launch of its new Artificial Intelligence (AI) software solution, XaitAI. XaitAI is a secure, closed-system, Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based AI trained to understand, analyze, suggest and assess specific content.

“Unlike generic AI models,” said CEO Eirik Gudmundsen, “That typically use the world wide web as their data source, XaitAI uses a standard model and then trains it specifically on customer data. Because they control the data source, they control the risk of negative outcomes such as bias and copyright violations.”

XaitAI offers a significant opportunity for time savings, especially for teams focused on large, complex documents such as bids, tenders and proposals. And customers are already running XaitAI through its paces. For example, customers are using XaitAI to analyze RFPs and more quickly surface key information to drive faster, more informed bid decisions. They are also training XaitAI on their content libraries for suggesting relevant content and saving time to invest in the higher quality content today’s evaluators demand.

“It’s important to remember that whatever you put into a public AI,” said John Ingve Eielsen, Chief Technology and Product Officer, “can be retained and used for training future models,  and potentially accessed by other software applications. That’s a huge risk. With Xait, your data is used to train your XaitAI, controlling your outcomes and protecting your proprietary assets and confidential customer information."

The NLP-based XaitAI also works without the need for tagging, unlike many other AI’s that rely on metadata for context. XaitAI understands context based on usage, which reduces start-up time. Most importantly, customer data never leaves Xait’s ISO/IEC 27001 certified data centers, ensuring control and eliminating risk.

“We envision XaitAI as a business tool,” continued Mr. Gudmundsen, “that works as an aid and supplement to the proposal development process. Although XaitAI works on its own, the analysis and suggestions it generates can and should still be assessed and verified by its human counterpart.”

Customers of XaitPorter, Xait’s flagship co-authoring and automation solution, are the first to take advantage of XaitAI, helping to shape the new, innovative solution and enhance Xait’s entire sales and proposal solution suite.
