"Sometimes you just have to make a hole in your pants so your client can achieve success." - Tore Medhaug
Obviously, this is not necessarily correct, but it actually happened to me last year. Here’s what went down. Me and my colleague Kris Sæther were on a business trip to various countries in the Middle East. After one of the meetings I inadvertently stumbled and somehow got my right knee in the ground, making a beautiful hole in my pants.
This was in between meetings, and I didn’t have time to go back to the hotel to change clothes. So in the warm Dubai weather I got a sunburn on my knee while waiting for a taxi. I had to go to my new meeting with a hole on my knee and a shiny red sunburn showing through, and it was the best icebreaker ever, I tell you!
Back at the hotel a few hours later, the client I visited just after I stumbled and ripped my pants, called me and told me that they wanted to start with five licenses for tender purposes. I recently talked to them just to follow up, and they saw a big potential in using XaitPorter. Because of the uncertain times we are facing due to Covid-19, everyone at their company is working from home – and as Xait CEO Eirik Gudmundsen has discussed in a previous blog article, XaitPorter works wonders for home officing.
The client originally started using XaitPorter for bids, tenders and proposals, but now they are also using it for other business critical documents such as reports, operations and work programs.
Due to the home office situation, they were having daily meetings for 1,5 hours. For 30 minutes of these meetings they were using XaitPorter as a document managing control system to go through business critical documents during operations.
At the end of the phone conversation I told him that it looked like they needed more licenses, and he replied "Yes, I was actually going to give you a call this week for more licenses."
Eliminate the process bottlenecks
Since XaitPorter enables everyone to work on the same document at the same time, it is very suitable for home officing. You don’t need any computer skills or help from your colleagues if you are struggling with formatting issues when completing the document. XaitPorter automatically takes care of formatting, layout and numbering for you.
Moreover, if you are collaborating on a project with a client or a subcontractor you can give them reader’s access to different sections in the document, as well. And the workflow also comes in handy if someone is busy with other projects or documents – then you can easily swap them with another colleague, and he or she will be notified by mail about what section to write and the deadline.
Using XaitPorter, you won’t stumble before the finish line and bust a hole in your chances of closing the deal. Instead, you’ll bust your bottlenecks!
Now this is what I call a top customer success software!
